Frosty Day Fun!

Armonk is a destination for FUN on annual Frosty Day. The sense of community is overwhelmingly evident, whether it’s your hometown or just visiting for the holiday event.

Frosty Day is the celebration of annual homecoming of Frosty, America’s favorite snowman. Annually held during the Sunday of Thanksgiving Weekend, Frosty Day is a  fun-filled day of activities in downtown Armonk, concluding with a parade and annual holiday lighting ceremony. Armonk’s Historic District was the inspiration for the “Village Square”, where Frosty dared the children to “catch me if you can.”  In addition, Steve Nelson, who was the lyricist of the classic holiday song, was a long-time resident of Armonk.

This year’s celebration was something really special. Activities during Frosty Day included animated animals and event favorites such as the miniature trains and horse-drawn wagons, dancers, singers, marching bands, magicians, clowns, Santa and of course, Frosty.  Armonk merchants offered face-painting, picture booths,  frosting cookies, decorating holiday ornaments, and making your own Frosty the Snowman to carry in the parade. Mark your calendar for next year. Here are some wonderful pictures of the event to enjoy.
