All of us are all struggling right now to keep our lives as stable and as constant as possible while living in a new state of ‘normal.’ This is a whole new reality for all of us, and it might feel like there’s just no future right now, because we don’t know what the future holds.
I am committed to my clients, my community and my family and friends when it comes to providing advice and resources as to the future of real estate.
While I don’t have that crystal ball to see into the future, what I do have is an understanding that homes will still need to be sold and bought, especially as businesses re-open and resume normal operations. There are a variety of alternative ways to conduct real estate business even while avoiding person-to-person contact. The most obvious of these is the online search. I continue to send electronic listing notifications and e-alert updates in real time as they have always done. You may still peruse houses on other websites like Realtor.com and Zillow and so on. FaceTime or other video apps will allow the seller to give a virtual tour of the home in Real Time. This allows the user to explore an entire home from their computer screen without having to set foot in the actual physical space. You can also look for homes by visiting my website. Start by de-cluttering a closet or two, or touching up that paint that needs freshening up. Weather permitting, get outside and start on the Spring cleanup of your yard or garden. Here is a great checklist for reference:
