What crazy times we are living through, I wish you all good health throught this period of uncertainty. The bright note for all of us is that technology is so advanced and allows us to visit our family and friends virtually and help those like me in the real estate industry to try and conduct business as best we can. For example, I would typically meet my clients in person and present a market analysis on their home, or accompany my buyer clients in person to tour their possible dream home. I would host open houses, come to inspections and meet many times to review strategy and offer advice – again in person. Well, due to social distancing and guidelines given to me buy the National Association of Realtors, Houlihan Lawrence and our leaders, that is no longer a possibility for the time being.
Houlihan Lawrence continually provides their agents giving us the support, guidance and tools for technology. I find this reassuring and practical. There are many tools that I have access to that can help me and my clients work together seamlessly- even if we are in separate locations.
It’s a great time to for buyers to do online research about the communities that interest them while they are quarantined at home.
Real estate is LOCAL. I cover Northern Westchester, so feel free to ask me questions about my area of expertise. I am always prepared with a professional network of agents to refer to other locales in Westchester that I do not cover and work the same way and have the same work ethic that I do. I have great agents to recommend in Connecticut as well.
Some listings of mine offer tours using video as well as a slideshow. Where I don’t have videos on all of my listings already, I am now in the process of creating them at home. One of my seller clients is preparing a virtual walk thru video for a guided tour. We can continue promoting homes to agents and their clients through custom e-cards and more. Now is the time to be creative with my resources to have innovative solutions. Whether it’s making sure potential buyers can still virtually visit and become interested online, and creatively figuring out how to help buyers and sellers in contract to close in a timely manner. While you can’t see them in person right now, you can take a look online and imagine yourself moving to Northern Westchester.
