I am pleased to share the 4Q Market Report from Houlihan Lawrence and offer some food for thought – especially if you’re thinking of buying or selling in Northern Westchester.
Overall, things are very good in our neighborhood. 2016 ended in a high note, with home sales reaching an 11-year high in Northern Westchester and surrounding areas. New families moving to our towns are re-energizing our communities with their growing families.
The prices of homes in the Byram Hills School District Westchester home rose slightly, with a median sale price of $885,000. In the Chappaqua School District, the prices rose just over 3% from the previous year with a median sale price of $995,000. This is a sign of stability and confidence for the market, and what we feel is a happy medium for both buyers and sellers- for now. To view the full report, click here.
