The Halloween Sugar Rush is over. As we say goodbye to more daylight and gear up for Thanksgiving, let’s take a look at some upcoming events happening in Northern Westchester.
Treat yourself to a night out during Hudson Valley Restaurant Week, taking place Nov. 1 to 13. This year, more restaurants than ever will offer a three-course dinner for $29.95 or three-course lunches for $20.95. Some of my favorites include: Moderne Barn, Le Jardin du Roi, Lexington Square Café, Crabtree Kittle House, and Zero Otto Nove.
The Chappaqua Children’s Book Festival Story Concert on Saturday, Nov. 19, from 4pm to 5pm. Paul Shaffer (the famous bff of David Letterman) will be narrating “A Family for Baby Grand,” a story by Sharon Dennis Wyeth, and afterward Broadway star Roger Seyer will sing Ogden Nash’s “The Tale of Custard the Dragon.” Chappaqua composer Brad Ross will provide the piece of music, while Michael Shapiron conducts the orchestra. Tickets are $25 (children under 4 free).
Chappaqua Craft and Gift Fair will be back and feature more than 80 merchants exhibiting their fine handmade pottery, handcrafted jewelry, clothing, handbags and accessories, gourmet food, bath and beauty products and so much more – just in time for the holidays. Admission is free. Located across from the Chappaqua Train Station. November 19th, 1:00-4:00pm.
Don’t forget to enjoy the last few weeks of the outdoor Farmer’s Market in Pleasantville.
