Looking for spooky, but fun Halloween festivities? Below are some of my favorite Halloween happenings in Northern Westchester.
Armonk –Each year, the residents’ of Glendale Avenue and Wampus Avenue get into the Holiday spirit with utilizing every kind of Halloween decoration available. People come from all over the area to take in this spooky sight while the children come in amazement. Community members can be found outside in costumes or trying to be the last minute frightening updates to their decorations. The street is closed to traffic, making it safe to walk.
Breezemont presents a Halloween-Themed Extravaganza! Saturday October 29th from 11 a.m. – 3 p.m. Breezemont Day Camp will be hosting its annual Fall Open House! There will be a haunted house, hay rides, pumpkin and face painting and much more. First time families are welcomed to attend! Snacks will be provided. Halloween Dance Party at The Armonk House, 7:30 pm. 111 Bedford Road, Armonk, NY.Price: $5.00 /per person. Wear a costume if you choose. And the best costume wins a prize!
Chappaqua – The Town of New Castle and Kiwi Country Day Camp are proud to present “Downtown Chappaqua Halloween” on Monday, October 31st. Residents are invited to trick-or-treat at your favorite local stores. This fun family event will feature lots of candy, fun characters & giveaways. From 1-5pm in downtown Chappaqua.
Pleasantville -Saturday, Oct. 29th, Pleasantville’s Ragamuffin Parade and Harvest. Line up for the parade at 10:30 am Bedford Road School. The parade begins at 11:00 am. Parade marches from Bedford Road School to Memorial Plaza.
Bedford – Halloween Carnival, Wizards and Witches. Mt. Kisco Public Library will have its Halloween Carnival at 4 p.m. on Oct. 28, but there are some bewitching events during the week with a do-it-yourself Wizard, Warlock and Witch event at 4 p.m. Oct. 27 and a do-it-yourself Harry Potter Spell Book and Straw Quill event at 4p.m. Oct. 31. The library is located at 100 Main Street. 914 666-8041.
