Why move to Armonk NY? Armonk is the gateway to Northern Westchester. It offers that country feeling but you can still see your neighbors, have privacy in your own back yard and proximity to NYC and major roads. The community life here is exceptional as well.
For the most part if a buyer is searching for rolling meadows and lawns, they will find it further north in Bedford, Katonah, Pound Ridge and Waccabuc. However, Armonk will offer privacy in your backyard. Although many homes are sited on 1 or 2 acres, it is not all usable and won’t break the bank with landscaping fees! You may see your neighbor side to side but the privacy in back can’t be beat! When I take out buyers who have been searching in lower Westchester, that is their true incentive for coming north. I know it certainly was for me, when I was a buyer from Manhattan twenty one years ago.
Armonk has a strong sense of community. The Byram Hills Preschool Association offers activities for preschoolers and their parents as soon as they settle in. The Byram Hills Education Foundation was created to enhance the programming at our schools where PTSA and state budgets could not provide. While, only 38 miles from Manhattan, local towns are also there for larger shopping, recreational and medical needs. Residents use the Town of Mount Kisco and cities of White Plains and Greenwich CT as well.
